General Contest Rules

By entering the contest you agree to the following rules:

Eligibility
1. Entrants must be Wisconsin residents.
2. Contest is open to everyone except any individuals (including, but not limited to employees, consultants, independent contractors, and interns) who have, within the past six months, performed services for the Milwaukee Radio Alliance, their affiliated parent, subsidiary and successor companies, units and divisions, other Milwaukee area radio stations and immediate family and household members of such individuals, contest sponsors and their relatives, are not eligible to enter to play. "Immediate family members" shall mean parents, stepparents, children, stepchildren, siblings, stepsiblings, or spouses. "Household members" shall mean people who share the same residence at least three months a year.

How to Enter

3. No purchase, registration fee, or monetary donation is required to enter to win.
4. To qualify, people must either call in to win for on air promotion, participate in a contest at an on-premise event, or register to win at an on-premise event or online at one of the MRA's websites.
5. For certain promotions, a postcard mailed into the station(s) will be considered an entry.

Selection of Winners / Odds

6. All prizes will be awarded.
7. Odds of winning a random drawing are determined by the number of entrants.
8. Random drawings will be witnessed and conducted by disinterested parties.
9. Multiple entries are not permitted except where specified.
10. For a call in contest, listeners will be asked to call in on a designated telephone line at a particular time or times. At the time that calls are solicited, the criteria for winning will be announced (such as the 12th caller, 3rd caller, etc).
11. Entries will only be solicited for one contest at a time.
12. By calling the station(s), listeners give permission to the Milwaukee Radio Alliance to record and/or broadcast the call. All entries become the property of the Milwaukee Radio Alliance.
13. Winner names may be obtained by written request to the station. Mail the request to the station and send a self addressed stamped envelope.
14. One winner per household, per contest.
15. Winners whose prizes are under $500 are not eligible to win another prize, regardless of value, from the Milwaukee Radio Alliance for thirty (30) days. WJZI's "Trip-A-Day" is the only exception. Minor prize winners are still eligible to win Trip-A-Day during the thirty (30) day waiting period.
16. Winners whose prizes are over $500 are not eligible to win another prize, regardless of value, for 90 days from the date they won.

Prizes

17. All prizes awarded on air must be picked up at the Milwaukee Radio Alliance studios at N72 W12922 Good Hope Road during normal business hours of 8:30am to 5pm Monday through Friday sans official holidays.
18. Prizes will be released to winners only. Winners must present a valid state photo ID or a passport with photo to claim prize. Winners may be asked to recite personal information taken during time of entry (i.e. social security number, address, date of birth, etc.).
19. Prizes will not be mailed except in extraneous circumstances and worked out with the promotions department.
20. Milwaukee Radio Alliance reserves the right to exchange prizes for that of equal or greater value.
21. Prizes are non transferable, exchangeable, or salable - the station(s) makes sole determination of any substitution.
22. Prizes won by minors and valued in excess of $1,000 will be awarded to the minor's parent or legal guardian.
23. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded. Winner will forfeit any prize or prize certificate not claimed within thirty (30) days of winning unless otherwise noted.
24. No cash value shall be awarded.

Conditions / Msc.

25. Winners, by accepting any prizes, agree to hold harmless the station and sponsors for any injuries or damages resulting from the use of said prize.
26. Station(s) reserves the right to use winners name, voice, photograph and basic personal information for promotional purposes.
27. Station(s) are not responsible for dropped calls or telephone problems when conducting on air contesting.
28. Any and all taxes are the responsibility of winners. It is understood that the Milwaukee Radio Alliance will supply the winner with a release form for all prizes worth more than $500 and that a 1099 form will be issued the following January for tax purposes.
29. Winner may be required to sign a standard winner's form including release of liability and winner's social security number to claim prize. Social Security Number may be asked for upon winning the contest.
30. All decisions made by the Milwaukee Radio Alliance and its agents are binding and final.
31. Different sets of rules may be drafted for different types of promotions.
32. Void where prohibited by law.
33. All information collected by the Milwaukee Radio Alliance is for station use only and will not be sold or shared with anyone outside of the company.
34. Rules subject to change at any time.
