The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's "Team In Training"
Get out of your comfort zone and dare to do something extraordinary in 2012 -- dare to change lives, starting with yours.
Leukemia causes more deaths than any other cancer among young children and young adults under the age of 20. You can train to walk or run a full or half marathon while raising money for research and treatment advances for cancer patients around the world. Join The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's "Team In Training," an established network of coaches, mentors and teammates that will take you from the couch to the finish line, regardless of your fitness level. You'll get more help than with other charities, gyms, online training programs or sports clubs. You'll get weekly training from professional coaches plus the incredible support of your team to keep you motivated.
B93.3's Bruce Sullivan -- a survivor of Hodgkins lymphoma and cancer free for more than 10 years -- is organizing a "Team In Training" to participate in half and full marathons in Green Bay on May 20 and the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon in San Diego on June 3. Join B93.3 and ProHealth Care for the ProHealth Care Walks for Cancer on Saturday, May 5 to help raise funds to benefit local cancer research, education, supportive services, and more!
Teams are forming now! Show your support at the RiverWalk in Waukesha, the LakeWalk in Oconomowoc, or the ParkWalk in Mukwonago. All donations support the Regional Cancer Center in the community where the walk takes place.
