Pier 1 Closing In Wauwatosa

Pier 1 Closing In Wauwatosa

Pier 1 Imports is closing their Wauwatosa location across the street from Mayfair Mall in late May 2017.
Spokeswoman Melissa Simon said, “Pier 1 Imports continually reviews new and existing store locations to make sure we’re operating as efficiently as possible.  Where necessary, based on that review, we make the strategic business decision to close certain locations on a case-by-case basis. We care about our shoppers in the Wauwatosa area and have enjoyed serving them over the years.”
Pier 1 will remain open in Brookfield, Greendale and Glendale.

Milwaukee On List Of “6 Cities To Watch”

Milwaukee On List Of “6 Cities To Watch”

We all have our own reasons why Milwaukee is just as good as Chicago, now we finally get recognized for some of them!

Milwaukee has made the Conde Nast Traveler list of “6 U.S. Cities to Watch in 2017”.  One of the reasons listed is because of our “endless party” during the summer.  Also some award-winning restaurants like Wolf Peach, Odd Duck and Vanguard.

Hotels?  Yup.  The Kimpton in the Historic Third Ward and the Westin coming coming soon to downtown.

Other spots on the list:

The Milwaukee Art Museum

Pabst Mansion

Views of Lake Michigan

  • Midtown Center near N. 60th St. and W. Capitol Drive in Milwaukee
  • N96 W19140 County Line Rd. in Germantown
  • 1160 W. Sunset Drive, Waukesha
